ECOCALL HELPING TO RAISE AN EXTRA £3 MILLION FOR BEN IN 2005

JUST BY MAKING A PHONE CALL.

 

When Ecocall started the BEN Telecom Alliance in January 2001 many in the automotive market had little idea how much they were paying BT for their calls.

Now 4 years later Ecocall are the providers of telecoms  to over 600 automotive companies including U-Pol, Comma, FPS, NGK and the SMMT. With the help of most of the associations in particular the VBRA they have donated over £20,000 to BEN by giving a percentage of each call to the industries charity.

 Ecocall have recently been acquired by the Carphone Warehouse Group so the long term support to the industry is very good.

 Jerry Bart, seen here with Alfred Friday of BEN, is very pleased with the response to the BEN Telecom Alliance.

“ Everyday we all get calls offering cheaper gas, electricity and phone bills. It is very difficult not just to believe what people are saying but also whom to trust.

The phone is the lifeblood of the automotive market and we have been privileged to be able to supply so many of the industries major companies as well as the small mechanic round the corner. We save an estimated £1 million pounds for our automotive customers each year over BT and other carriers.

 Ron Nicholson is writing to each VBRA member over the next 6 months asking them to talk to Ecocall.  Along with other associations we are hoping to double our automotive customer base during 2005. In turn this will help raise many more thousands of pounds for BEN to help achieve the industries 2005 target of an extra £3 million pounds”
